For the sake of your memory, he will be called Megane, because honestly, it was hard remembering his name despite having episodes all to himself. He reminds me of Keyaruga from Redo Of Healer because his process is the exact same thing only it starts from about episode 3 (I don't remember) to the end of this show. I didn't think it'd be that decent, but hey, here we are, the writers know how to not forget about a premise.Īside from the whole fixing the virus thing, another cool part of this story is that one self-insert dude. With all the other pieces in the shadow, be it side character motivations or missing plot points, you are left wondering what more could happen in this weird world. The pacing makes this ever so slow but it does get more and more interesting as episodes pass. Y'know, the characters do indeed attempt to revert the setting back to a more ideal surrounding rather than embracing wish-fulfilment. The anime, although slightly forgetting a few thousand times about its own premise, does make actually put this theme into good use. There is a serious problem with men disappearing here, there's no way humanity can last without men (at least not with this anime's current technology, but that goes off on a tangent because you should see the technology there lol). Though it should be noted that it isn't all as fantastical as it makes itself seem to be. It does seem like self-insert bait, only proven by that one guy who basically sells that idea without fail, but we will get into more of that later. In a world where operation man bad is a success, we are met with a few individuals who seemingly forgot to turn off noclip virus consequently resulting in them going into a world where, well, there's not a lot of men strolling around. Well, maybe not crawling into the sociopolitical side of things but the very concept is interesting enough.
I mean, I watch anime to enjoy it, if I don't like it I kinda just turn it off, y'know? Despite being something to not take entirely seriously, I'm not very cynical with anime like these. I'm expecting a surge of reviews with ratings 4 and lower to be the dominant force in this review section, and whilst there is a lot about World's End Harem to dislike, to the point in which I can very well do the same, I come here showing what's good about the show.
